Focus sur l’Espace : Le Pavillon du Luxembourg a accueilli le « Space Afternoon »

The „Space Afternoon“ put a light on Luxembourg’s strategic priorities in space, including international collaboration, technological innovation, and the growing role of space in advancing sustainable development. It also explored new ways to engage future generations through culture and storytelling.

Already from July 11 to 14, visitors could discover the exhibition “Space for Earth – How space contributes to our planet” at the Luxembourg Pavilion, highlighting the crucial role of space technologies in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030). Visitors were also able to see models of the ispace rover “TENACIOUS” and the lunar lander, the first of which was designed in Luxembourg.

As part of the “Space Afternoon”, the LSA unveiled a new comic book co-created with Dan Altmann and Lucien Czuga, one of the minds behind „Superjhemp“, Luxembourg’s most beloved comic series. The new publication tells the story of a female fox from Luxembourg who dreams of space and pursues her path to becoming a “Luxonaut.” The comic was officially launched during the event, followed by an exclusive book signing session with the author and illustrator.

Already in advance to this event, visitors at the Luxembourg Pavilion could experience the international exhibition “Space for Earth – How space contributes to our planet”. It showcased how space technologies support the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through stories and testimonials from climate experts, astronauts, students, and others around the world—including voices from Luxembourg.
