Economic mission to Dubai with visit to the Luxembourg pavilion at EXPO 2020

From 27 to 30 January 2020, an economic mission, chaired by H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duker, led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Minister of Health, Étienne Schneider and in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, was organized to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

H.R.H. the Grand Duke and the ministers were accompanied by a large business delegation with representatives of more than 80 Luxembourg companies.

The mission aimed to strengthen political and economic relations between the two countries and to promote the Luxembourg financial centre in the region.

The third day of the mission was completely marked by EXPO 2020 DUBAI. H.R.H. The Grand Duke and the two Ministers had the opportunity to visit the site of the Luxembourg pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

They also met with the Chairman of the Expo 2020, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

A series of cooperation agreements were signed with Emirarian actors in order to ensure the proper functioning of the pavilion.
