Composer selected for the creation of the “Doki Doki” sound identity

A few months ago, the Economic Interest Group (GIE) Luxembourg@Expo2025Osaka, in collaboration with FLAC (Luxembourg Federation of Authors and Composers), had organized a call for tenders for the creation of a musical composition to accompany the scenography of the entire Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka

The aim was to find a composer who is a member of FLAC to create a sound identity in line with the leitmotif “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat”.

As the scenography of the Luxembourg Pavilion consists of three main acts, all linked by this leitmotif, this sound identity will help to bring to life the “Doki Doki” feeling among visitors and make them feel like being part of the experience, with all their senses.

A total of 12 composers have participated in this call and have sent in their sound creations. The work of Luxembourg composer Claude Zeimes finally convinced the jury, made of representatives of GIE, FLAC, jangled nerves and Kling Klang Klong.

“For me it is a great pleasure, a new experience and a huge challenge, but above all a great responsibility to be able to make the music for the Luxembourg Pavilion”, says Claude Zeimes.

Over the next months, he will develop the sound identity in close collaboration with GIE, the scenographers from jangled nerves and their partner Kling Klang Klong in order to create a sound experience which perfectly matches the scenography of the Pavilion.
