Exhibition “Fallen Trees” at the Luxembourg Pavilion: Art and Nature in Harmony
Created in collaboration with craftspeople such as carpenters, goldsmiths, founders, ceramicists, and saddlers*, Fallen Trees features sculptures shaped like human silhouettes, each representing a different tree species. Using wood from naturally fallen trees or sustainably sourced wood, the exhibition emphasizes an aesthetic and environmentally conscious approach.
Accompanied by botanical panels and supported by experts from fields such as biology, and botany, the exhibition raises awareness of ecological and botanical issues.
Special highlights include The Elderberry, presented alongside the children’s book Theo and the Elderberry Tree, and The Apple Tree, symbolizing health and love with integrated soil, seeds, and a green tourmaline crystal.
First unveiled at the De Mains De Maîtres Biennale in Luxembourg in 2023, where it received a “Special Mention of the Jury”, Fallen Trees is now traveling the world. It invites us all to appreciate the beauty of forests and reflect on the importance of preserving them.
This exhibition is part of the diverse cultural program offered by the Luxembourg Pavilion, realized with the support of Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg. For more information about exhibitions and events, please visit the “Events” section on our website.
