The Luxembourg Pavilion Featured on a Collector’s Stamp

The Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has been honored with a special edition collector’s stamp, officially launched today.

During an official handover ceremony at Espace POST, André Hansen, Commissioner General of the Luxembourg Pavilion, and Tatjana Konieczny, the Secretary General of the GIE Luxembourg@Expo2025Osaka, received the first copies of the stamp, which celebrates Luxembourg’s contribution to this world event.

Created by Philately POST in collaboration with architect Arnaud de Meyer — partner at STDM, the Luxembourg-based architectural firm responsible for the Pavilion’s design — the stamp is now available in a limited edition of 30,000 pieces. Each one is priced at €2.40.

The stamp features an exterior view of the Pavilion, which is “designed for disassembly” and “circular by design,” highlighting its distinctive architectural elements — most notably its lightweight, high-performance roof. This roof serves as a good example of the “Reduce” principle in circular economy practices, fulfilling multiple functions with minimal material use and significantly reducing waste.

Arnaud de Meyer, who is also an avid sketch artist, emphasized that drawing remains an essential means for him to engage deeply with his architectural surroundings and the life they encompass.

The Luxembourg Pavilion team is proud to see the Pavilion’s spirit and vision reflected in this exceptional piece of philatelic art — a tribute to creativity and craftsmanship.
