Expo 2025 Osaka is a World Exposition, also known as the World’s Fair, scheduled to be held in Osaka, Japan from April 13 – October 13, 2025
The event is sanctioned by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The six-month event aims to showcase the latest advancements and innovations in technology, culture, and sustainability from around the world.
The theme of the Expo 2025 Osaka is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and it will feature various pavilions and exhibitions from participating countries, organizations, and companies.
The expo will also host a variety of cultural events, conferences, and educational programs, and is expected to attract millions of visitors from around the world.

“Saving Lives”, “Empowering Lives”, and “Connecting Lives” are the 3 subthemes of the Expo.
Expo 2025 Osaka will center on the concept of constructing a sustainable society for all individuals, emphasizing on the latest advancements and technologies in areas such as artificial intelligence, energy, transportation and urban development.
The expo will also highlight the importance of cultural understanding and diversity in creating a better future for all.

Luxembourg’s participation at the Expo 2025 Osaka is orchestrated by a GIE (groupement d’intérêt économique, economic interest group).
The government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg via the Ministry of the Economy is joining forces with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce to ensure a strong presence at Expo 2025 Osaka.
The GIE Luxembourg @ Expo 2025 Osaka is accountable for the planning, design, construction, operation, and dismantling of the pavilion.
The GIE works in close collaboration with numerous Luxembourg-based entities and organisations.

The theme of the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka is “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat” which in Japan refers to the sound of a heart beating with excitement.
The theme will be the guiding principle throughout visitors’ journey in the Pavilion.
Visitors will explore a country that is committed to sustainable growth in all its forms. The pavilion will allow visitors to create mindful connections through an interactive scenography and educational programs.
The Luxembourg Pavilion will be designed by the architectural firm STDM in collaboration with jangled nerves, in charge of the scenography.
The concept behind Luxembourg’s presence at Expo 2025 Osaka will be entirely based on the principles of circularity, and will emphasize on reusing and recycling materials.

The organizers estimate that 28 million people will visit the exhibition in Osaka, Japan.
A large percentage are expected to come from abroad, primarily from Asia, but also from all continents of the world.

Since its first participation in the World Exhibition in London in 1851, Luxembourg has been present whenever the theme corresponded to its DNA:

Tickets are available for purchase through the official website of Expo 2025 Osaka or through authorized ticket vendors.
It will also be possible to purchase tickets at the gate on the day of the event.
