Launch of the Luxembourg Pavilion App

Expo 2025 Osaka has opened its doors to the world on April 13th, and the Luxembourg Pavilion has already welcomed numerous curious visitors, who were able to discover the Grand Duchy’s open and welcoming character, its cultural diversity, entrepreneurial spirit, and breathtaking landscapes.

The scenography of the Luxembourg Pavilion is designed to immerse visitors in an exciting, heart-pounding “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat” experience, captivating the senses and bringing the essence of the Grand Duchy to life.

To extend this experience beyond Japan, Virtual Rangers, one of Luxembourg’s largest virtual and augmented reality development studio, created a digital reproduction of the Pavilion. This virtual version enables people in Luxembourg and around the globe to explore and engage with the Pavilion, even if they cannot travel to Osaka.

Available now for free on the Apple Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), the Luxembourg Pavilion mobile application is a digital gateway to the heart of the Pavilion, inspired by the scenographic concept “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat”, designed by STDM architectes urbanistes in collaboration with Japanese firm MIKAN.

Whether guests are attending Expo 2025 Osaka in person or exploring from afar, the “Luxembourg Pavilion” App ensures a comprehensive and engaging experience.

Key Features of the App are:

  • Virtual Tour: A Walk through a fully interactive 3D model of the Pavilion, exploring its architecture and permanent exhibitions.
  • Interactive Exhibits: Multimedia stories of Luxembourg’s people, innovative projects, as well as the beauty of its landscapes, including its  cultural heritage.
  • Live Updates: The possibility to keep up with the latest news, events, and highlights from the Pavilion.
  • Multilingual Support: Access content in multiple languages, reflecting Luxembourg’s diverse linguistic heritage.

Visitors to the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka on-site can enjoy Augmented Reality stations in the queuing area.

By scanning QR-Codes placed near wall-mounted image trackers, guests unlock a series of high-fidelity 3  reconstructions of cultural landmarks—brought to life using advanced scanning technology by Artec 3D.

These 3D models are also featured in the Digital Pavilion, offering a unique, interactive gateway to Luxembourg’s heritage both on-site and online.
