Luxembourg Pavilion
Product design from the cultural crossroads of Europe
To highlight the designers selected for the VIP areas of the Pavilion, a special exhibition will showcase their work in greater depth.
Combining elements of scenography and a cabinet of curiosities, the exhibition will invite visitors to see and touch a selection of creations—going beyond their furniture pieces, which are part of the permanent interior design:
- Table SPECTRUM and chairs PANORAMA designed by Geckeler Michels (Luxembourgish co-founder and designer Frank Michels with David Geckeler), produced in Japan, less than 200 km away from Osaka.
- Arm chair LOOM by Luxembourgish designer Julie Conrad, made of a wooden structure produced by the Luxembourgish carpenter BrakoN!er (Norbert Brakonier)
- Arm chair EL SANTO by Dante Goods and Bads (Luxembourgish co-founder & designer Christophe de la Fontaine, with partner Aylin Langreuter). The ‘Osaka Edition‘ is featuring a tatami-like, locally sourced cover.
- The Oh! Table by Luxembourgish designer Georges Zigrand features plinths crafted from three different locally sourced natural stones, because of their strong link to Luxembourg heritage and a timeless quality.
